CEASER

RESERVE – Edward Ceasar Jr., 69, a native of LaPlace and a resident ofMontz, died Nov. 12. He was the husband of Mable Etienne Ceasar and fatherof Darlene Carter and Edward III, Charles, Bryant, Michael and David Ceasar.

He was also the son of the late Edward Sr. and Mary Holloway Ceasar andbrother of Diane Barden and the late Dorothy Ceasar.

He is also survived by eight grandchildren.

Services are today at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church,Reserve, with interment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve. Visitation startsat 10 a.m.

DECOTA

HAMMOND – Mary Alice Efferson Decota, 71, a native of Holden and a resident of Gonzales, died Nov. 16. She was the wife of the late Willie A.Decota and mother of Patricia Hanna, Jimmy Covington, Michael Covington and the late Carl Covington.

She was also the sister of Iverson Efferson and the late Amy Vicknair, Elizabeth Vignes and Rudolph and Henry Efferson.

She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services were held Nov. 18 in the chapel of Harry McKneely & Son FuneralHome, Hammond, with interment at Courtney Cemetery, Holden.

FALCON

LAPLACE – Joseph Quinn Falcon, 60, a native of White Castle and a resident of LaPlace, died Nov. 16. He was the husband of Vivian GiroirFalcon and father of Wanda Cambre, Theresa Grajkowski, Wendy Andry, Linda Andry, Lesley Noyes and Todd Falcon.

He was the son of Olivia and the late Claytus Falcon and the brother of Wyonna Toups, Dale Falcon and the late J.C. Falcon.He is also survived by 12 grandchildren.

Services were held Nov. 19 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, LaPlace,with interment at St. John Memorial Gardens.

LeBLANC

CONVENT – Mercedes Braud LeBlanc, 83, a native and resident of Convent, died Nov. 10. She was the wife of the late Kelly LeBlanc Sr. and mother ofJacqueline Folse, Lawrence “Dickie” LeBlanc and the late Kelly “Sonny” LeBlanc Jr.

She was also the daughter of the late Gaston and Beatrice Dave Braud and sister of Eunice DeCuire, Jules and Horace Braud and the late Gladys Veret, Marie Patin, Iona Key and Wesley Braud. She was also the step-daughter ofthe late Eola Braud.

She is also survived by five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services are today at 11 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church,Convent, with interment at the church cemetery. Visitation starts at 9:30a.m.

MOSES

NEW ORLEANS – Dilcy Garrett Moses, 89, a native of St. John the BaptistParish and a lifelong resident of New Orleans, died Nov. 12. She was thewife of the late Rev. Herman MosesShe was also the daughter of the late Walter and Ida Garrett and sister of the late Bertha Garrett, Ellen Lewis and Pansy Lee Alexander.

Services were held Nov. 17 at Israel Baptist Church, New Orleans, withinterment at Providence Memorial Park.

NAILER

GRAMERCY – Leona D. Nailer, 77, a native and resident of Paulina, died Nov.12. She was the wife of the late Murphy Nailer, the mother of WilfordNailer and the foster mother of Doris Terro.

She was also the daughter of Corine Ward Gross and the late Sonny Davis.

She is also survived by four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services were held Nov. 19 at First Community Antioch Baptist Church,Gramercy, with interment at Antioch Cemetery, Paulina.

RIVERS

RESERVE – Ronald Rivers Sr., 52, a native of New Orleans and resident ofReserve, died Nov. 13. He was the husband of Barbara C. Rivers and fatherof Robbie, Rodney and the late Ronald Rivers Jr.

He was also the son of the late Clarence Sr. and Armercy Robertson Riversand brother of Yvonne Biro, Dorothy Thompson, Emelda Dabney, Barbara Miller, Rosemary Carmouche, Carolyn West, Gwendolyn Owens, Percy, Alvin and Clarence Rivers Jr. and the late Charles Winters, June Hilton andLarry, Melvin and Milton Rivers.

He is also survived by two grandchildren.

Services were held Nov. 19 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Reserve,with interment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve.

RUSSO

KENNER – Lena Nicholas Morris Russo, 95, a native of Taft and a resident of Jefferson for the past 50 years, died Nov. 16. She was the wife ofPhillip J. Russo Jr. and mother of Carlton Morris and the late Earline Marieand Calvin Morris.

She was also the daughter of the late Jean and Helosie Champagne Nicholas and sister of Lydia Bergeron, Inez Hickey, Julia Tastet, Jay Nicholas and the late Irene Horn.

She is also survived by eight grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Services were held Nov. 19 in the chapel of L.A. Muhleisen & Son FuneralHome, Kenner, with interment at Hope Mausoleum.
