Imagine something for a second. Think of a place with arcade games, 10 videomachines, pool tables, foosball, air hockey and a basketball cage. Now imaginethat it’s all free. Add a concession stand, great music and friends.Until a few weeks ago, nothing of this nature existed. Then came the 180 Center. It’s a youth center opened on Wednesday and Saturday from 6-10 p.m. thatdoubles as a youth church. From 6-7 p.m. the game room is open and then from 7-8:30 p.m. a church service takes place. After the service, the game room isopened again until 10 p.m. Yes, I said a church service. But this isn’t someboring, dull service. It begins with high-voltage praise and worship. Then there’sa drama followed by a message that you’ll actually understand.

Think that it’s too good to be true? It’s not, because it has been a year since Reserve Christian Church got the vision for this awesome place. Onceconstruction began, it was off and running and people have been working literally around the clock for its completion.

So who exactly is this youth center for? You! It’s open to the teens of the community to come and meet new friends and build on previous relationships.

God has already used this building in an awesome way since it’s opening only a few weeks ago. Besides having fun, around 50 teen-agers have given their livesto Jesus. Now that’s living. So maybe by now you’re interested. Hey, you have to be. So come and check it out. It’s located on U.S. Highway 51 near the pet shop. If you hate it, then at least yougot to get out the house. I promise that you’ll love the atmosphere and the fun,but you have to come to see it for yourself. Hope to see you there! If you have any questions or comments, write to me at straightkids@juno.com orP.O. Box 1493, LaPlace, La. 70069.Back to Top
