LAPLACE – Adding to the Halloween festivities this weekend will be St.

John Parish’s Haunted Halloween Andouille Festival that runs Friday through Sunday at the corner of Airline Highway and Belle Terre Boulevard in LaPlace, next to the Percy Hebert Parish Building.

Festival hours are 6 p.m. to midnight on Friday; 10 a.m. to midnight onSaturday and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday.The festival will have crafts, rides, food booths, bands and beauty pageants. There will also be Halloween costume contest and a cookingcontest for big prizes.

Of course there will be a haunted house to scare some fun into everybody.

The Andouille Festival schedule: Friday 6 p.m. – Festival opens8 p.m. – Band MagnoliaSaturday 10 a.m. – Festival opensNoon – Band Mellow Hi-Lite 6 p.m. – Pageants, Mrs. Andouille, Teen Andouille and Miss Andouille8 p.m. – Band Kane Glaze and the CoozansSunday 8:30 a.m. – Andouille 5-mile run and 2 mile run/walk. Admission is $1.00, and children 6 and under get in free.
