ACOSTA RESERVE – Marie Delhommer Acosta, 39, a native and resident of LaPlace, died Oct. 10. She was the wife of Chad Acosta and mother of Jared, Ashleyand the late Jonathan Louque.

She was also the daughter of Helen Delhommer and the late Joseph Delhommer and sister of Jo Ellen Madere, Donna Alison and Elizabeth Clement.

Services are today at 10 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, LaPlace,with interment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve. Visitation starts at 8 a.m.

BRADY LAPLACE – Sidney J. Brady, 89, a native and resident of LaPlace, died Oct.8. He was the husband of Myrtle Audiffred Brady and father of BrynnConrad and Sylvia Shanklin.

He is also survived by two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services were held Oct. 11 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, LaPlace,with interment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve.

BRUMFIELD RIVER RIDGE – Arthur Brumfield, a native of Pikes County, Miss., and aresident of St. Rose, died Oct. 3. He was the husband of Agnes DupreBrumfield and father of Arthur Jr., Timmy and David Brumfield.He was also the son of Lucille Tate and brother of Mayella Jones, Ethel Mae Williams and Early and Fred Tate.

He is also survived by nine grandchildren.

Services were held Oct. 9 in the chapel of Richardson Funeral Home, RiverRidge, with interment at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, St. Rose.

de LANEUVILLE METAIRIE – Andre A. de Laneuville Jr., 78, a native of Reserve and aresident of Metairie for 50 years, died Oct. 8. He was the husband ofMaryann Lambert de Laneuville and father of Deborah Hancock, Constance Tassin, Abigail Hubbell, Nathalie Leger, Marianna Trepagnier and Andre de Laneuville III.

He was also the brother of Florence Triche.

He is also survived by 10 grandchildren.

Services were held Oct. 11 at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, Metairie,with interment at Garden of Memories.

FAUCHEUX LAPLACE – Winnie T. Faucheux, 86, a native and resident of LaPlace, diedOct. 8. She was the wife of the late Leonard Faucheux and mother ofLeonard, Ronald, James and Glenn Faucheux and step-mother of Madie Brand and the late Muriel Joffrion and Kalford Faucheux.

She was also the sister of Nellie Powell, Jenette Sixkiller, Etienne Trepagnier and the late Leona Metzler, Kathleen Carmouche and Villemont and Henry Trepagnier.

She is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Services were held Oct. 11 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, LaPlace,with interment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve.

LaFONTAINE RESERVE – Maxim “Max” LaFontaine, 61, a native of North Dakota and a resident of Reserve for the past 40 years, died Oct. 8. He was the husbandof Joyce Falgoust LaFontaine and father of Michael and Ann LaFontaine.

He was also the son of the late Maxim and Sarah LaFontaine and brother of Judy Hudy, Dorothy Freeberg, Betty Fredrick, Harold, James and Fritz LaFontaine and the late Dora Weinert and Marie Engles.

Memorial services were held Oct. 12 at St. Peter Catholic Church, Reserve.

MURRY RESERVE – Louis “Tarzan” Murry, 68, a native and resident of Reserve, died Oct. 8. He was the husband of Josephine Ferraro Murry and father of LindaVicknair.

He was also the son of the late Fabien and Cecilia Murry and brother of Florence Holder, Stella Marse, Rita Becnel, Joseph Murry and the late Beulah Rome and Adien, Eniel, Fabien Jr. and Murphy Murry.Services were held Oct. 11 at St. Peter Catholic Church, Reserve, withinterment at the church cemetery.

PHILLIPS COVINGTON – Irene Latham Phillips, 89, a native of Greenville, Ky., and aresident of Luling for 15 years, died Oct. 10. She was the mother of BettySwitzer.

She is also survived by two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services are today at noon in the chapel of Schoen Funeral Home, Covington, with interment at Mandeville Mausoleum. Visitation starts at11 a.m.

ROCCAFORTE GARYVILLE – Agnes Jacob Roccaforte, 80, a native of Reserve and a resident of Garyville for 54 years, died Oct. 10. She was the wife of thelate Lamana Roccaforte and mother of Lamana “Lonnie,” Janice, Brent, Peggy and Vita Roccaforte.

She was also the daughter of the late Victor and Marie Jacob and sister of Virginia Songy, Mildred Periloux, Marie Woodard, Rita Boteler and the late Nora Millet, Etna Stacey, Cecelia Pastureau and Preston, Whitney, Laurence and Warren Jacob.

She is also survived by six grandchildren.

Services were held Oct. 12 at St. Hubert Catholic Church, Garyville, withinterment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve.
