FOBB

CONVENT – Olevia Thompson “Ve-Ya” Fobb, 78, a native and resident of Convent, died Oct. 4. She was the wife of the late Herbert Fobb Sr., andmother of Eric and Earl Fobb, and the late Charles Fobb.

She was also the daughter of the late Gabrial and Aline Marvigne Thompson and sister of Alice Landry, Hilda Jordan, Beulah Block and Percy Thompson, and the late Theresa Dennis, Freddie, Melvin and Nelson Thompson Sr.

She is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She is predeceased by one great-grandchild.

Services were held Oct. 7 at Philippian Baptist Church, Convent, withinterment at the church cemetery.

GREEN

KILLONA – Bertile Green, 87, a native and resident of Killona, died Oct. 6.She was the mother of Willie Mae Strickland, and the late Freddie Mae Jordon, Monroe and William Green.

She was also the daughter of the late Jake and Annie Mae Quinn and sister of the late Annie Mae Green, Beatrice, Calaph and Napoleon Quinn.

She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 91 great-grandchildren and 86 great-great-grandchildren.

Services were Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at Children of Israel Baptist Church,Killona, with interment at Greenhill Cemetery, Taft. Visitation starts at10 a.m.

HARRIER

LAPLACE – Thelma “Jean” Harrier, 68, a native of Bonny Blue, Va., and aresident of Gramercy for 15 years, died Oct. 6. She was the wife ofWilliam Harrier and mother of Danny Knig, Peter Ziegler, Kathy Smith and Dani Jo Harrier.

She was also the daughter of Nelson King and the late Mattie Mae King, and sister of Frankie Carter, Honey Young, Billie “Bug” Reese and angel Cottrell.

She is also survived by two grandchildren. She is predeceased by onegrandchild.

Services were held Oct. 8 in the chapel of Millet-Guidry Funeral Home,LaPlace, with interment at St. John Memorial Gardens, LaPlace.

JOSHUA

DONALDSONVILLE – Clarence Joshua Jr., 58, a native of St. James and aresident of Donaldsonville, died Oct. 4. He was the father of Mary, Gloria,Terry and Clarence Joshua III.

He was also the son of the late Clarence Sr. and Mrion Rosemond Joshuaand brother of Maxine Jones, Shelia Clayton, Warrine Lightfoot, Brenda Lawson, Lorraine Taylor, Debbie LeBoeuf, Mary Wilson, Glenda Williams, Roynell Sr., Carroll and Lynwood Harris, and the late Camille Joshua Sr.He is also survived by a number of grandchildren.

Services were Saturday at noon at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Donaldsonville,with interment at the Protestant Cemetery, Donaldsonville. Visitationstarts at 10 a.m.

McTOPY

LAPLACE – John “Johnny Mac” McTopy, 86, a native of Garyville and a resident of LaPlace for 70 years, died Oct. 5. He was the husband ofMarjorie Maurin McTopy and fther of John II, Joel and Brian McTopy.

He was also the brother of Edna Mae Bruce, Gloria Mason, J.R. and DonaldMcTopy, and the late Mary Ellen Buras, Nolan, Lolan and Earl Badeaux.

He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services were held Oct. 8 in the chapel of Millet-Guidry Funeral Home,LaPlace, with interment at St. John Memorial Gardens, LaPlace.

REYNAUD

NORCO – Irvin Reynaud Jr., a resident of Norco, died Sept. 30. He was thefather of Leola Anderson, Joseph Jenkins, Kanisha Anderson, Milton Aikens, Adam Reynaud and the late Joseph Reynaud.

He was also the brother of Matilda Johnson, Jeanette Mitchell, Anita, Frank and Ernest Reynaud.

He is also survived by a host of grandchildren.

Services were held Oct. 7 at Greater Good Hope Baptist Church, Norco,with interment at Montz Memorial Cemetery, Montz.

ROUSSELL

EDGARD – Camille M. “Truman” Roussell, 66, a native and resident ofEdgard, died Oct. 6. He was the husband of Irma Y. Roussell and father ofDebra Lumar, Judith Trench, Justine Edwards, Connie Alexis, Patricia, Leonard, Rod, Camille and Kevin Roussell.

He was also the son of the late Etienne and Florence Roussell and brother of Lucille Joseph, Irene Mitchell, Joseph Roussell, and the late Emile, Claude, Herbert and Irvin Roussell Sr.

He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services were Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church,Edgard, with interment at the church cemetery. Visitation starts at 8 a.m.
