Former Edgard resident going to ChinaL’Observateur / October 6, 1999ATASCOCITA, Texas – Oscar D. Taylor, the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs.Henderson K. Taylor Sr., a lifelong resident of Edgard and a current resident ofAtascocita, Texas, has been selected into the Texas Agricultural Lifetime Leadership (TALL) program.

Taylor will go to China for two weeks to learn first-hand about the agricultural practices and economic opportunities which exist for American agricultural products.

TALL prepares up and coming professionals dedicated to agriculture for the leadership challenges in the coming millennium. TALL is a two-year stringentlycompetitive leadership development program. Only 28 of 300 nominatedapplicants made the highly acclaimed leadership program. TALL includesseminars with experts, on-site tours, meetings with business and government leaders, two international study opportunities and personal skills improvement.

Taylor is a territory manager with American Cyanamid for crop protection chemicals in Eastern Texas, Southeastern Oklahoma and Southwest Arkansas.

He is married and has a 20-month-old daughter.
