BROCK LAPLACE – Julie Carpi Brock, 71, a native of Manila, Phillippines, former resident of New Orleans and Destrehan and resident of LaPlace, died Sept. 15. She was the wife of John Brock and mother of Julie Hanley, Michaeland Thomas Brock and the late Caryl Wilkinson.
She was also the sister of Lourdes Campbell and Jose Carpi Jr.
She is also survived by nine grandchildren.
Services were held Sept. 17 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, LaPlace.
BURNETT PEARLINGTON – Anita L. Burnett, 82, a native of LaPlace and resident ofNew Orleans and Pearlington most of her life, died Sept. 10. She was thewife of Edward T. Burnett Sr. and mother of Ellanor O’Neal, Pauline Brown,Ned Legohn, James Black and Edward Burnett Jr.
She was also the sister of Joseph Sr., Morris and Aduche Cureaux Jr.She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Sept. 17 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Pearlington,with interment at Pearlington Cemetery.
CANDIES DES ALLEMANDS – Clara Stephens Candies, 57, a resident of Des Allemands, died Sept. 16. She was the wife of Tommy Candies and motherof Anna Berthelot and Lynn, Toby, Ian, Tomy and Kim Candies.
She was also the daughter of the late Fred and Eleanor Cornwell Stephens and sister of the late Lelan Stephens.
She is also survived by eight grandchildren.
Services were held Sept. 17 at Des Allemands Baptist Church withinterment at Christian Cemetery, Des Allemands.
FALGOUT LULING – Daniel E. Falgout, a resident of Luling, died Sept. 14. He was thehusband of Murriel Rabalais Falgout and father of Derrill and Derek Falgout.
He was also the son of the late Victor and Emily Brady Falgout and brother of Adelaide Tarullo, Sylvia Louviere, Eldon, Coral, Reed and the late Victor and Harold Falgout.
He is also survived by three grandchildren.
Services were held Sept. 17 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Luling, withinterment at St. Charles Cemetery, Luling.
TROXLER LULING – Vance Joseph Troxler Sr., 73, a native of Taft, former resident ofLuling and resident of Raceland, died Sept. 13. He was the husband of thelate Sylvia Mongrue Troxler and father of Terry Jeffers, Christy Labonte and Lee, Vance Jr. “Noodles” and the late Ted Troxler.He was also the son of the late Oliver Sr. and Consuela Keller Troxler andbrother of Mona Gassen, Elaine Foret, Shirley Barre, Oliver Troxler Jr. andthe late Joyce Kelly.
He is also survived by 11 grandchildren.
Services were held Sept. 16 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church,Luling, with interment at St. Charles Cemetery, Luling.
