Miss Farlough, Grover plan Aug. 14 wedding

Naylon Farlough of LaPlace announces the engagement of his daughter, Phaedra Lynn Farlough, to Terreke William Grover of Reserve.

The wedding will take place Aug. 14 at 5 p.m. at Greater New PlymouthRock Church, Reserve. The Rev. David B. Carter will officiate. A receptionwill follow.

The bride-elect, whose mother was the late Evelyn Mckerry of LaPlace, is a graduate of East St. John High School. She attended Jackson StateUniversity in Jackson, Miss., and graduated cum laude from SouthernUniversity of New Orleans with a bachelor of science degree in economics/business. She was honored for having the highest GPA in thedepartment of economics/business.

She was also a member of Phi Beta Lambda business fraternity and Delta Sigma Theta sorority. She is employed by the State of Louisiana,Department of Health and Hospitals.

She is the granddaughter of Benjamin Mckerry, William Wilson and the late Olivia B. Wilson, the Rev. Joseph Farlough and Sedonia Farlough.The prospective bridegroom is the son of Audrey Mae Mason Grover and William Grover of Reserve. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs.Peter Mason Sr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Grover.He is a graduate of East St. John High School, where he played baseballwith the 1990 AAAA state championship team and was named the most valuable player in the state. He attended Delgado Community College,where he was a member of the Delgado Dolphins baseball team, and Southern University in Baton Rouge.

He is employed by National Car Rental.
