Brenda Clancy of Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, and Timothy R. Clancy ofNestelton, Ontario, Canada, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Shannon Nicole Clancy of Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, to Bryan Charles Manuel of LaPlace.

He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold “Budd” E. Manuel Jr. of LaPlace.The wedding will take place Aug. 14 at 3 p.m. at St. Alban’s EpiscopalChapel at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. The Rev. Patrick L.Smith will officiate the ceremony.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Dr. F. J. Donevan Collegiate Institute.The prospective bridegroom is a graduate of Louisiana School for Math, Science and the Arts and Louisiana State University.
