Dancers of the Performing Arts Dance Center of LaPlace recently attended the Showbiz Dance Competition in Baton Rouge. Various awards were presented toPerforming Arts Dance Center dancers. Their teacher won a choreographeraward.

Award winners are: Preteen solo: Robert Jumonville, second place.

Junior solo: Jenna Militoto, third place.

Senior solo: Shannon Hinton, second place, and Ashlee Barre, third place.

Mr. Showbiz: Robert Jumonville, first runner-up. Preteen duets: Ashlee Barre and Robert Jumonville; Jessica Barcelona and Melissa Thornton, all second place.

Junior duets: Kristen Hoover and Milioto, third place. Their routine also wonthe teacher choreographer award.

Preteen group: Jessica Barcelona, Ashlee Barre, Lacey Himel, Kristen Hoover, Robert Jumonville, Brandy Milhas, Jenna Milioto and Melissa Thornton, second place, and Jessica Barcelona, Ashlee Barre, Lacey Himel, Kristen Hoover, Robert Jumonville, Jenna Milioto and Melissa Thornton, third place.

Junior group: Jessica Barcelona, Ashlee Barre, Kristen Hoover, Robert Jumonville, Jenna Milioto and Melissa Thornton, second place.
