BORNE RESERVE – Audrey V. Borne, 71, a native and resident of Reserve, died Jan.24. She was the wife of Reynold Borne and mother of Lorraine Roussel,Joan Clement, Audrey Bossier and Reynold Jr. and William Borne.She was also the daughter of the late Edward and Aurore Vicknair and sister of Lucille Landry, Ruby Binning, Yolande Thibodaux, Berrenise Madere, Myriam Hymel, Edna Reine, Rita Ruth Buckner and the late Dorothy Marchand, Marie Waguespack and Edward Vicknair Jr.
She is also survived by 14 grandchildren.
Services were held Jan. 26 at St. Peter Catholic Church, Reserve, withinterment at the church mausoleum.
BUTLER EDGARD – Hubert Butler, 90, a resident of Edgard, died Jan. 23. He was thehusband of the late Helena Butler, father of Lennard Sr., Kernell and thelate Royal Butler, and foster-father of Michael, Judith and the late Kenneth Anderson.
He was also the son of the late Louis and Alexina Fiffie Butler and brother of the late Irvin Fiffie Sr., James Butler, Josephine Jones, Mable Trahanand Beulah Jones.
He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren and was preceded in death by one grandchild.
Services are today at 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church,Edgard, with interment at the church mausoleum. Visitation starts at 8a.m.LUMAR EDGARD – Anna Rita “Pip” Lumar, 70, a native and resident of Edgard, died Jan. 23. She was the wife of Raymond Lumar Sr. and mother of RaymondJr., Donald, John, Harold, Sgt. Eugene and Clariette Lumar, Joann Evans andthe late Glen and Cassandra Lumar.
She was also the daughter of the late Walter and Mary Wilson Brooks and sister of Gloria Johnson, Marie Samson, Delores Lumar, Roger and George Brooks and the late Lucille Wilson, Gertie Mitchell and Irvin Brooks.
She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services were held Jan. 26 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Edgard,with interment at the church cemetery.
MILANO PAULINA – Roy J. Milano, 86, a native of Lutcher, former resident of NewOrleans and current resident of Metairie, died Jan. 21. He was the brotherof Moses Milano and the late Charles, Carlos, Joe and Baptiste Milano, Tony Princevalle and Virginia Cornelius, Mary Irvin, Rosalie Nassar and Mary Euggino.
Services were held Jan. 23 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulina, withinterment at the church mausoleum.
MORALES DESTREHAN – Clifton J. Morales, 76, a native of St. Rose and resident ofDestrehan, died Jan. 22. He was the husband of Lydia Fabre Morales andfather of Kathy Vicknair and Glenn Morales.
He was also the son of the late Pierre and Ida Hernandez Morales and brother of Leroy, Sidney, Tonya and the late Raymond Morales and Anna Lee Dicket.
He is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and was preceded in death by one grandchild.
Services were held Jan. 25 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church,Destrehan, with interment at the church mausoleum.
SCHEXNAYDRE UNION – Effie Schexnaydre, 86, a native of Smoke Bend and a resident of Convent, died Jan. 23. She was the daughter of the late Henry and AntoniaWaguespack Schexnaydre and sister of Bernadette Hellouin and the late Bertile, Alcee, Oliver, Julian, Henry, Ferducie and Olide Schexnaydre Sr.
Mary Martha, Bertha Schexnaydre and Agnes Simon.
Services were held Jan. 25 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Union, withinterment at the church mausoleum.
STORKS SMOKE BEND – Williemene “Will” R. Storks, 84, a native of Smoke Bend anda resident of St. James, died Jan. 18. She was the wife of the late WilbertStorks and adopted mother of Carol Celestin and Alex and Lionel Ross and step-mother of Sandy Richard.
She is also survived by three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services were held Jan. 23 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Smoke Bend, withinterment at the church cemetery.
WEBRE VACHERIE – Archangel Bourgeois Webre, 92, a native of Vacherie and a resident of Harahan for 21 years, died Jan. 21. She was the wife of thelate Alvin Webre and mother of Rosemary Rodrigue.
She was also the daughter of the late Sidney and Genevieve Bourgeois and sister of Maybelle Falgoust, John and O’Neil Bourgeois and the late Loretta Hymel.
She is also survived by seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held Jan. 25 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Vacherie,with interment at the church cemetery.
