DEAR EDITOR: The 50th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights is upon us. However, for members of the Baha’i Faith living in Iran, there is littlereason to celebrate. Not only have they been continuously denied the rightto freely practice their religion, over 200 Baha’is have been killed since 1980 because of their religious beliefs, including one killed last July for allegedly converting a woman to the Baha’i Faith. At least six others havebeen sentenced to death while thousands more suffer arbitrary detention.
