BAUDOUIN THIBODAUX – Lowell “Bodie” Joseph Baudouin Sr., 66, a native ofDestrehan and a resident of Thibodaux, died Nov. 19. He was the husband ofBlanche Lasseigne Baudouin and father of Martha, Eleanor and Lowell Baudouin Jr.

He was also the son of Elmer and Ella Vial Baudouin, brother of Elmer Baudouin and half-sister of Katherine Swanson.

He is also survived by three grandchildren.

Services are today at 10:30 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church,Thibodaux, with interment at St. Joseph Cemetery, Thibodaux. Visitationstarts at 8:30 a.m.

BRYANT MARRERO – Berkley David Bryant, 67, a native of Stoneville, Miss., and aresident of Luling for 26 years, died Nov. 14. He was the father of SuzanneMartinez, Penny DeShaw, Linda Lowery, Karen Adams and Mark, Paul, Kevin, Keith and Berkley Bryant Jr.

He was also the brother of Carline Cooper, Beth Baltz and Frederick Bryant Jr.

He is also survived by 32 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was a hospital administrator in the U.S. Air Force for 11 years.Services were held Nov. 18 in the chapel of Westside Funeral Home,Marrero, with interment at the National Cemetery, Biloxi, Miss.

CRUMP DESTREHAN – William Thomas Crump III, 50, a native of New Orleans and a resident of St. Rose for the past year, died Dec. 14. He was the husband ofLisa Annette Williams Crump and father of Amy, Alexis, Jessica, Eric and Timothy Crump.

He was also the son of William Thomas Crump II and brother of Patricia Nastasi and Odelia Parker.

He is also survived by one grandchild.

He was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War and earned a Purple Heart.

Memorial services are today at 1 p.m. at St. Charles United MethodistChurch, Destrehan.

DETILLIER AMA – Lisa Ann Billiot Detillier, 34, a native of Raceland, resident of Lockport for 20 years and resident of Ama for 14 years, died Nov. 18. Shewas the wife of John Gilbert Detillier Jr. and mother of Sarah, Mary andCeleste Detillier.

She was also the daughter of Magnelta and Elvira Billiot and sister of Thelma Griffin, Joyce Crosby, Velma Boudreaux, Frances Loupe, Steven, Melvin, Russell, Irvin and Magnelta Billiot Jr.

Services are today at 10 a.m. at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, Ama, withinterment at St. Charles Mausoleum, Luling.

DUPART RESERVE – Samuel Dupart Jr., 87, a native of Modeste and a resident ofReserve for 50 years, died Nov. 18. He was the husband by first marriageof the late Ethel Dupart and by second marriage of Elnora Dupart, and step- father of Roy Palmer, Doris Darville, Jacqueline Johnson, Rhonda Jones, Billie Moor and the late Louise Grover and Otis Patterson.

He was also the brother of Freddie Dupart.

He is also survived by eight grandchildren and 25 step-grandchildren.

Services are today at 11 a.m. at Greather New Plymouth Baptist Church,Reserve, with interment at St. John Memorial Gardens, LaPlace. Visitationstarts at 10 a.m.

FERDINAND LUTCHER – Lloyd “Pop-Poo” James Ferdinand Sr., 62, a native and residentof Lutcher, died Nov. 13. He was the husband of Artie Ann WilliamsFerdinand and father of Claudia Williams, Keisha Goff, Craig, Nathaniel, Troy and Lloyd Ferdinand Jr. and the late Byron and Clyde Ferdinand.He was also the son of Alzetta Ackers and the late Joshua Ferdinand and brother of Lula and Earleen Ferdinand and the late Claude Ferdinand.

He is also survived by 15 grandchildren.

He was a member of Lloyd Ferdinand and the Singing Allstars and the Golden Harmonizers.

Services are today at 10:30 a.m. at King Triumph Baptist Church, Lutcher,with interment at Golden Wreath Cemetery, Lutcher.

GIEGER GARYVILLE – Marion Rapp Gieger, 84, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Garyville for four years, died Nov. 16. She was the wife of thelate William Grady Gieger and mother of William Jr. and Jack Gieger.She was also the sister of Mildred Gieger and the late Arthur Rapp.

She is also survived by five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date.

HELTZ RESERVE – Farrell “Red Bird” Heltz, 51, a native of Reserve and resident of LaPlace for 21 years, died Nov. 14. He was the husband of JeannieHughes Heltz and father of Danielle Paciera and Darrell and Darren Heltz.

He was also the son of Esther Roussel Heltz and brother of Cynthia Scioneaux.

He was a former employee of Avondale Shipyards and owned Red Bird’s Aluminum and also was a code inspector for St. John the Baptist ParishRoads and Bridges Department.

Burial was at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve.

JOHNSON HARVEY – Brenda Brown Lewis Johnson, 47, a native of Ama and a resident of Marrero for 33 years, died Nov. 17. She was the wife of Kenneth JohnsonSr. and mother of Donald J. Lewis.She was also the daughter of the Rev. Willie E. Brown and Elsie BrownDyer, sister of Ivory Elmore Jr., Linda Jones, Gwendolyn Lewis and RobinJones and step-sister of Andrea, Stephanie and Willie Brown Jr.

She is also survived by one grandchild.

Services are today at 11 a.m. at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, Harvey, withinterment at Restlawn Park. Visitation starts at 8:30 a.m.

JONES VACHERIE – Daniel Jones Jr., 62, a native and resident of St. James, diedNov. 17. He was the father of Dan and Dana Jones and companion ofElizabeth Gant.

He was also the son of the late Rev. Daniel Sr. and Mable Geason Jones andbrother of Elina Johnson and the late Ethel Joseph and Florence Taylor.

He is also survived by three grandchildren.

Services are today at noon at First Baptist Church, Vacherie, with interment at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery, St. James. Visitationbegins at 9 a.m. at the church.

MADISON DESTREHAN – Frederick “F.J.” Madison, 71, a native of New Orleans and aresident of New Sarpy, died Nov. 16. He was the father of Carolyn Madison-Lowe, Sidney and Anthony Madison and the late Gwendolyn Williamson.

He was also the son of the late Fred and Lydia “Ma-Love” Tillmon Madison and brother of Dorothy Howard, Jacqueline Murdock and the late Rosemary Brown.

He is also survived by eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and was preceded in death by one grandchild.

Services were held Nov. 20 at House of Prayer Baptist Church, Destrehan,with interment at New Sarpy Cemetery.

TERRAL LAPLACE – Rose “Rosa” N. Terral, 88, a native of Reserve and a resident ofLaPlace for many years, died Nov. 19. There are no immediate survivors.Services are today at 11 a.m. at New Vision Baptist Church, LaPlace, withinterment at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery, Reserve. Visitationstarts at 10 a.m.

WALDRIDGE LAPLACE – Noel Ellsworth Waldridge, 74, a native of New Orleans and a resident of River Ridge for 35 years, died Nov. 16. He was the husband ofthe late Lenore “Bennie” Waldridge and father of Ella Mae “Sisi” Vollenweider, Marie Compagne and Marilyn Bergeron.

He was also the son of the late Allington and Elise Waldridge and brother of Jackie Hattier and the late Allington Jr. and Louis Waldridge.He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Services were held Nov. 19 in the chapel of Millet-Guidry Funeral Home,LaPlace, with interment at Jefferson Memorial Cemetery, St. Rose.

WALTER LAPLACE – Kenneth M. Walter, 74, a native of Beresford, S.D., and aresident of LaPlace for 13 years, died Nov. 18. He was the husband ofMargaret Walter and father of Diana Hansen and Cheryl and David Walter.

He was also the brother of Veva Lothrop and Donald Walter.

He is also survived by one grandchild and two step-grandchildren.

He was a teacher and coach for 23 years.

Services will be held Nov. 23 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Millet-GuidryFuneral Home, LaPlace. Visitation will be Nov. 22 from 5 to 7 p.m. and Nov.23 at 10 a.m.
