WCKW-1010 AM will broadcast River Parishes Sports Talk live from the Pizza Factory in Gramercy every Thursday night from 6:15-7 p.m. The True Beech Brotherhood Outreach Ministry invites the churches or ministries to participate in its flag football tournament Nov. 21 and 22at Ezekial Jackson Park in Garyville.

There will be two divisions – 8-13 year olds and 14 and older. Entry fee is$20 for one division and $30 for both. Deadline for registration isWednesday. Trophies will be given to the first and second place teams. In addition, there will be a Punt, Pass and Kick competition for ages 9-10, 11-12 and 13-14. The entry fee for all three competitions is $5 perperson. Registration will be the day of the event. For more information contact Jeff Wright at 535-8012.

The St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office is sponsoring hunter safetyclasses that are free of charge Nov. 17-19 and 21.All classes will be held at the St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office DivisionHeadquarters in LaPlace.

Registration is required and you must attend each day for certification.

Class times will be from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Saturday’s class will startat Nick’s Shooting Range in Garyville at 8 a.m. Call 652-7058 or 652-9513to register or if you have any questions.

The Destrehan High School Fighting Wildcat Basketball Camp will be held Nov. 23-25 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Destrehan gym.The camp, conducted by Destrehan head coach Mike McNamara, his staff and several varsity players, is for ages 7-14 years old. The cost of thecamp is $50 and includes a camp T-shirt and basketball.

Each player will be taught, observed and corrected in the fundamentals of basketball. The camp also includes shooting drills and games and 3 on 3and 5 on 5 team competition. Campers will be age and ability grouped.For more information call McNamara at 764-1775 or 764-9946.
