DEAR EDITOR: I never thought the day would come when our Christian school would compromise righteousness in the name of high school sports.

By allowing a newly-transferred student to participate in volleyball, unrest has been created among both parents and students.

Two Beatitudes come to mind when I think of the exception made by our administrator regarding our girls’ volleyball team. Five of my childrenlearned them while attending our school: “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. Blessed arethey which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”I feel, as others do, our administrator should reconsider his decision in the spirit of righteousness and fairness to all.Brenda B.
