Lady Rebels sweep to win over Hahnville

RESERVE – Riverside ended its pre-district schedule on a high note, rolling to a 15-6, 15-3 victory over Hahnville Tuesday afternoon in the Riverside gym.

Michelle Millet, Jennifer Guidry and Amie Graugnard each had two aces for the Lady Rebels. Millet also provided top defense while Jennifer Smithdelivered four kills as the Lady Rebels improved to 14-4.

Hahnville fell to 7-12 overall. The Lady Tigers were led by FallonCancienne who delivered two kills. Keanna Bethencourt was the Tigers’ topdefender.

Riverside opened the match with a 15-6 victory in the first game. TheLady Rebels kept up the momentum as the second game opened, using two aces by Graugnard and a kill by Jennifer Smith to take a 3-0 lead before Liz Landry broke the serve with a kill.

Riverside came back on its next serve as two aces by Guidry, a dink by Millet and five Hahnville errors made it 11-0. Three Riverside errors cutthe lead to 11-3 but an ace by Millet and a dink by Amanda Roussel brought the Lady Rebels to match point. An Hahnville error gave the Lady Rebelsthe winning point.
