Cargill Grain & Oilseed Supply Chain has an opportunity available for a Maintenance Technician in our Reserve, Louisiana location to provide various mechanical, structural, and rotating equipment support. The position is responsible for maintaining optimum functionality for plant equipment and systems by performing inspections, completing preventive maintenance measures, and repairing and modifying equipment and systems. Principal Accountabilities: 40% - Perform scheduled and reactive corrective maintenance on facility assets 30% - Perform scheduled preventive & predictive maintenance on facility assets as assigned 15% - Provide facility maintenance needs on shift work and weekends 5% - Participate in meetings and training activities 5% - Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned 5% - Use CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management system) to document job details Required: € High School education or GED equivalent € At least 18 months mechanical experience industrial environment OR Associates Degree from technical college in industrial field € Strong communication, reading, writing and math skills € Good attendance record and work ethic € Ability to operate heavy machinery/equipment € Able to lift up to 100 lbs € Able to climb a significant elevation € Successful candidates will be required to pass cognitive tests Preferred: € Basic knowledge of all industry safety, food safety, and environmental regulations and requirements € Proficient Mechanical abilities, which exhibit with practical knowledge of precision maintenance techniques (ex. Bearing installation, precision measurements, laser alignment) € Skilled in electrical, mechanical, pneumatics and hydraulics € Experience in preventative maintenance, routine maintenance and troubleshooting on high-speed equipment in a fast-paced production environment € Cargill is an international producer and marketer of food, agricultural, financial and industrial products and services.
