NEW ORLEANS — Everyone knows that Tiger fans rule. But now Capital One Bank is making it official.

Two lucky LSU Tiger fans will realize the dream of a lifetime when they step on the field at Death Valley for the coin toss before two of the season’s marquee games against Alabama or Ole Miss as winners of Capital One Bank’s You Rule Death Valley sweepstakes.

The winners of Capital One’s You Rule Death Valley sweepstakes will each take an unprecedented back-stage tour of the television and radio production of the game, stand in the bench area when the Golden Band from Tigerland takes the field, then join the football captains at midfield for the coin toss.

“An opportunity like this has never been offered before in the history of LSU Tiger football,” said vice-chancellor and athletic director Joe Alleva. “We are proud to partner with Capital One Bank to make this unprecedented experience come to life for two lucky fans.”

“Capital One Bank is proud to be the Official Bank of LSU Athletics, and we’re pleased that our partnership will present a once-in-a-lifetime experience for two Tiger fans,” said Steve Lousteau, Baton Rouge Market President for Capital One Bank. “LSU represents the highest level of achievement in collegiate football, and we at Capital One Bank represent the same level of excellence in delivering financial products and services.”

Fans can register at any of 176 Capital One branches in Louisiana or download the official You Rule Death Valley entry form from www.YouRuleDeathValley.com.

Only one entry per person is allowed, and all entries must be deposited at a Capital One Bank branch by Oct. 8, 2010. Complete rules governing the sweepstakes are available at any Capital One Bank branch in Louisiana or at www.YouRuleDeathValley.com.

In addition to the on-field and backstage experience, the winners will also receive a package of experiences and merchandise that will make the memory stay vivid for life:

• Special game day parking

• VIP passes to the LSU Sports tailgate party before the game

• Tour of Cox Sports TV booth and production trailer to meet the CST announcers and have photos taken with them

• Photos taken on the field before the game with LSU cheerleaders and Mike the Tiger

• LSU football jersey personalized with their name to wear out on the field for the coin toss

• VIP seats in the catered Stadium Club to watch the game

• A visit with the Voice of LSU Football, Jim Hawthorne, in the radio booth during the game and name mentioned on air

• A commemorative football signed by LSU head coach Les Miles

“I personally look forward to meeting our winners at the Alabama and Ole Miss games this November,” said Hawthorne. “Once again, the LSU Tigers will make football history. Go Tigers!”
