LAPLACE – A Reserve man accused of molesting two LaPlace boys on two separate occasions was arrested Monday, according to a spokesman for the St. John Sheriff’s Office.

Scott Fryoux, 39, a resident of East 12th Street in Reserve, was booked into the Sherman Walker Correctional Center in LaPlace on two counts of molestation of a juvenile and two counts of sexual battery in connection with an incident with a 15-year-old in January as well as an incident with a 12-year-old in 2004 that recently came to light, said Capt. Dane Clement, a public information officer for the Sheriff’s Office.

Clement said interviews with the two victims revealed Fryoux befriended the victims and the victims’ parents to gain trust. He would then invite the victims to sleep over at his home, where the sexual assaults would eventually take place.

According to a report from the Sheriff’s Office, the most recent assault was reported by the victim’s father the day after the incident took place. According to the report, the 15-year-old boy told authorities Fryoux invited him and another friend over on a Saturday in January to play board games. At some point in the evening, all three subjects went to sleep.

Clement said the victim awoke during the night to find Fryoux sexually assaulting him. He said the boy went home the following day and told his father what happened.

During the course of the investigation, detectives learned of a second victim who was 12 years old at the time of the assualts, which occurred sometime in 2004.

Clement said the victim told detectives a similar story of Fryoux befriending him and his parents. The victim said he had been allowed to dine out with Fryoux and also sleep at his residence on several occasions, Clement said.

The victim told investigators that several times over a six-month period, Fryoux would expose his genitals and perform lewd sexual acts with him. The incidents had not previously been reported, Clement said.

Fryoux had previously been arrested in 1992 for indecent behavior with juveniles. Clement said Fryoux pleaded guilty to those charges and received a five-year suspended sentence with five years of supervised probation, which ended in 1998.

Clement said Fryoux voluntarily turned himself in Monday. After speaking with detectives, he was booked into the LaPlace jail, where he is being held on a $300,000 bond.

Authorities believe there may be more victims that have yet to come forward. Clement said anyone with information on incidents involving Fryoux is asked to contact Det. Freddie Young or Det. Scott Guillory of the St. John Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau at 985-359-8769.

WHAT WILL IT TAKE FOR PEOPLE TO UNDERSTAND THIS? IT WOULD BE QUITE UNDERSTANDABLE FOR THE PARENT OF THE YOUNG BOY TO ACTUALLY KILL THIS POS AND SAVE SOME STATE MONEY! "
