HAHNVILLE – A 17-year-old Killona man was booked with six counts of attempted first-degree murder early Friday morning after he shot at a group of individuals walking past his home, said a spokesman for the St. Charles Sheriff’s Office.
Capt. Pat Yoes, public information officer for the Sheriff’s Office, said one of the bullets fired in the incident struck a 14-year-old boy in the right calf area. The boy, whose name was not released, was taken to St. Charles Parish Hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Authorities arrested Darryl Davis, 136 Schoolhouse Lane, at his home around 4:02 a.m. Friday, Yoes said. Davis was booked into the Nelson Coleman Correctional Facility, where he is being held without bond pending a hearing.
According to a Sheriff’s Office release, the group was walking in the area of Schoolhouse Lane around 9:20 p.m. Thursday. Witnesses told deputies that as the group approached Davis’ home, Davis allegedly came out of his residence and began shooting.
Yoes said it is not yet clear what sparked the shooting or how many shots were fired. He said Davis was acquainted with all the members of the group.
The report did not say whether the weapon was recovered from the scene.
