Each Wednesday, L’Observateur will recognize individuals and businesses in the River Parishes who have gone “above and beyond” in their efforts to make this a better place to live, work, play and raise a family.
This week we salute:
• THE LOUISIANA FARM BUREAU’S WOMEN’S LEADERSHIP COMMITTEE, which recently visited the Southest Louisiana Veterans Home in Reserve to hand out T-shirts to the residents there. The stop was one of a handful of visits throughout the state.
• THE LEADERS OF THE RIVER PARISHES COMMUNITY, who recently agreed to be “locked up” as part of the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s “LaPlace Executive Lock-Up.” Over $20,000 was raised at this year’s event.
