HHS Cadet Jean Pierre Alexander DuRousseau was selected to attend one of 10 honors camps this summer at the University of Oklahoma. Out of 107,000 cadets in AFJROTC only 500 are selected for the camps. During the week-long camp, he took tours of Tinker AFB facilities, got briefings on the Air Force Academy, ROTC and the University of Oklahoma. He participated in college engineering classes and experimented with many hands-on activities. He also attended a ground school course which will lead up to flying a single engine plane. This camp also gave an insight into the operations of the Air Force and opportunities available to high school seniors upon graduation.
