Tyrone Woods Jr., 26, 267 E. 11th St., Edgard, was booked into the Nelson Coleman Correctional Facility in Killona on two counts of attempted first-degree murder and two counts of negligent injury, said Sgt. Dwayne Lagrange, public information officer for the Sheriff’s Office. Woods is being held in jail with a bond hearing pending.
LaGrange said Woods is accused of firing a shotgun into a crowd outside the Queen Inn Bar, located at 402 Killona Drive. Authorities said Woods was coming to the defense of his father, who had gotten into an argument with some of the patrons at the bar.

According to a report from the Sheriff’s Office, two of the victims were taken to University Hospital in New Orleans and treated for gunshot wounds to the back. Another was treated at St. Charles Parish Hospital for a wound to her side. The fourth victim, who was struck in the finger, refused medical treatment.
LaGrange said that after the shooting, Woods left the bar heading back to his residence. Investigators caught up to him at his home and
