Destrehan man wins La Quinta recognition

DALLAS – La Quinta Inns & Suites recognized Steven Conques of Destrehan as the recipient of the Company’s 2008 National Salesperson of the Year award. The award was presented at the recent La Quinta National Conference in Honolulu, Hawaii, in front of more than 1,000 corporate employees, general managers, franchise owners and suppliers.

Conques, who has been with La Quinta since 2000, is a National Sales Manager who works primarily with corporations headquartered in Louisiana, Mississippi and the Bay area of Southeast Texas. His total sales for 2008 were more than $9 million and he exceeded his goal by 21 percent.

“Steven’s professionalism and dedication to the needs of his clients is an attribute to his success,” said Feliz Jarvis, executive vice president of sales for La Quinta. “He is responsive to his clients’ requests and works closely with the hotel general managers to identify additional opportunities.”
