Reserve may land I-10 interchange

LAPLACE – Various state and local officials laid the very early groundwork for a future interchange off Interstate 10 in St. John Parish during a public hearing on the project in LaPlace Wednesday night.

Cargill, employees give $35,000
Cargill, along with employees ofthe company's Terre Haute Marine Facility, located on River Road in Reserve, made two donations totalling $35,000 on Wednesday. The first, in the amount of $10,000, went to help St. John Ministry of Care while the second, of $25,000, went to Teach for America.

EDGARD – A New Orleans man received an 18-year prison sentence Monday for causing a three-car accident on Interstate 10 in Laplace that killed an 8-year-old girl and injured 10 others while driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs.

Man arrested mere minutes after robberies
RESERVE – St. John Sheriff’s deputies arrested a LaPlace man who was allegedly involved in the armed robbery of two Reserve women Friday night, said a spokesman for the Sheriff’s Office Monday.
