Two young people from St. Charles Borromeo Fountain of Youth, Melissa White and Jarred Rodrigue, recently received the St. Timothy Award. This award is the highest recognition a Catholic young person can receive from the youth ministry community in the United States. It is given annually to nominees from the Archdiocese of New Orleans who exhibit both in their parish and to the larger Christian community, an example of Christian leadership and service.Â
Melissa recently graduated from St. Charles Catholic High School in LaPlace and plans to attend the University of Louisiana Monroe in the fall majoring in Occupational Therapy with Down Syndrome.
Jared recently graduated from Jesuit High School in New Orleans and plans to attend Franciscan University in Steubenville Ohio in the fall majoring in Nursing and Theology.
