LAPLACE – As part of a recent convention in New Orleans for a prominent African American fraternity, a diabetes research specialist spoke about the threat of chronic kidney disease among the black population.

Pair honored by St. Charles Borromeo Fountain of Youth
Two young people from St. Charles Borromeo Fountain of Youth, Melissa White and Jarred Rodrigue, recently received the St. Timothy Award. This award is the highest recognition a Catholic young person can receive from the youth ministry community in the United States. It is given annually to nominees from the Archdiocese of New Orleans who exhibit both in their parish and to the larger Christian community, an example of Christian leadership and service.
