Michelle Tetlow accused of kidnapping 2-year-old son

LAPLACE – Authorities in St. John are searching for a former resident of the area who is accused of kidnapping her 2-year-old son from her ex-husband’s LaPlace home on July 3, said a spokesman for The St. John Sheriff’s Office

Capt. Dane Clement, public information officer for the Sheriff’s Office, said deputies are looking for Michelle Buffington Tetlow, 29, a white female with brown hair and brown eyes. Clement said a warrant was issued for Tetlow on July 10 after her ex-husband, who was not identified, reported to police that she kidnapped his 2-year-old son.

Clement said according to a court order, the father of the boy has custody of the child, but the mother has visitation rights. The father told deputies that after a recent visit, Tetlow left his house with the boy in the early morning hours of July 3 and has not returned.

The boy is described as a white male with blonde hair and blue eyes. He weighs about 30 lbs. and is about 29 inches tall. Detectives believe Tetlow is somewhere in Aurora, Colo.

" She was not visiting the father he had forced her to reconcile to prevent her from refiling to obtain custody of the child. If the courts were not being biased by the father they would check that childs home situation and things that have happened in the past with both parents and perhaps things would be different. She is a great mom who was being stabbed in the back so she tried doing the best thing for her child by getting him away from a bad situation. That man is no father and the truth will soon come out! "

You sound about as unstable as she does!!! YA STUPID! The court gave the father custody of the child and to do that, they WOULD HAVE HEARD BOTH SIDES of the story. A "great mom" (or even an IDIOT) would NEVER take a child from his home and family, in the middle of the night, and disappear to another state. YA STUPID! The only thing that seems "biased" here is your opinion! Sounds like you didn't have a FATHER around to protect you and give you stability when you were a little tyke. HONESTLY, is that where your BITTERNESS comes from? GET HELP!!!

" TRUTHS---this is the 12th time she took this child from HIS HOME (from his father and 8 year old brother) and he is only 2 years old!!!
---this is the 10th time she took him from HIS HOME in the middle of the night!!! Each time taking him to a different place and not letting him see his father and brother for up to a month at a time!!! She has protective orders against her because of HER PHYSICALLY ABUSIVE nature and her temper (not to mention her lies and mental bi-polar condition).
QUESTION--- exactly what kind of "mother" takes a sleeping baby OUT OF HIS BED only to disappear like that? The courts heard the truths and that is why she was given SUPERVISED VISITATION! She IS a LAZY SLOB and won't even pay her court ordered child support. She is back in the trailer park now and back with her trash where she is comfortable (dirty and run down). Obviously, she tells only half truths and before making judgements, PLEASE GET ALL OF THE FACTS!!! "
