Four Obama Cabinet members coming to St. John

RESERVE – The White House announced last week that St. John Parish has been named as one of nine stops for a presidential listening tour in rural areas of the United States that will feature four members of President Barack Obama’s Cabinet.

LAPLACE – During a late night drug bust at a LaPlace residence Monday, St. John Parish narcotics agents uncovered stolen weapons, a large amount of cash and more than a kilogram of crack and powder cocaine, which was found hidden throughout the house, said Sheriff Wayne Jones during a press conference Wednesday.
