Starting Tuesday, the eastbound and westbound right lines of Interstate 10 through LaPlace will close from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. while crews perform tests on the equipment. The eastbound lane will be shut down between exit 206 and the eastbound truck weight scales, while the westbound lane will be shut down between exit 209 and the westbound truck weight scales. Crews will be testing the equipment nightly starting Tuesday and ending Friday. Permit load restrictions will be in affect during the testing.
To avoid any delays that may result from the lane closures, LADOTD suggests that motorists use Airline Highway (US 61) as an alternate route. For additional information on the project, contact project engineer Steve Perilloux at 985-375-0270.
