Jefferson woman reports rape near spillway
HAHNVILLE – A Jefferson woman told St. Charles Parish investigators she was raped early Sunday near the Bonnet Carre Spillway by a man who carjacked her in front of an apartment on Central Avenue in Jefferson Parish, according to a release from the Sheriff’s Office.

EDGARD – A Kenner man received a 25-year prison sentence this week after he pleaded guilty to killing a Reserve man in 2006, according to a release from the St. John District Attorney’s Office.

St. John historic redevelopment gets under way
