Janice “Nan” Schexnayder died on Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at Ochsner Regional Medical Center, Jefferson. Age 69, she was a resident and native of Paulina.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 49 years, Kevin W. Schexnayder; two daughters, Tessa Lambert and her husband, Michael, and Tracy Keller and her husband, Kelly; two sons, Todd Schexnayder and his wife, Danielle, and Shawn Schexnayder and his wife, Janelle; 11 grandchildren, Hillary, Tyler, Hannah and Tanner Lambert, Hailey and Jacob Keller, Demi and Devin Schexnayder and Hollie, Sara and Heidi Schexnayder.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Augustin LeBlanc Jr. and Irene Mae Martin; and one brother, Lynn LeBlanc.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 17, 2009, from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paulina. Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m. from the church with Fr. Jason Palermo officiating. Interment followed in the St. Joseph Mausoleum. Friends and family may send their condolences and thoughts to www.mem. com. VICKNAIR

Paul “Pill” Leonce Vicknair Sr. departed this life peacefully at 12:10 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7, at Ochsner Medical Center in Kenner. The beloved husband of Audrey “LuLu” Roussel for 58 years. The loving father of son, Terry Toe Vicknair and fianc© Karen Tramonte; daughters, Bernadette Lambert and husband Maurice, Darleen Maus and husband Pat, Justine Hymel and husband Moise, Aimee St. Pierre, Dora Amato and husband Craig, son Paul Vicknair Jr., sister Linda Roquest, brother Earl Vicknair, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents Leonce and Aimee Guidry Vicknair; brothers Lawrence, Albert, Clovis; sisters Rosemae Rome, Adlice Schexnayder, and Pearl Gaudet; son Baby Vicknair; grandson Dustin Maus; and great grandson Alex Louque.

Visitation was held Monday, April 13, 2009, from the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paulina from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m. from the church with Fr. Frank Uter officiating.

He was employed by Monsanto for 20 years and Kaiser Aluminum/ LaRoche/CII for 15 years as an Instrumentation Technician/electrician. He served his country proudly as a Seaman with the United States Navy.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the ICU physicians and staff of Ochsner Medical Center. A special thank you to Nancy Laiche at St. James Hospital.

Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home in Lutcher.
