Isabelle S. Zeringue

On May 16, 1916, God blessed Clorinne and Francois Schexnaydre in a very special way with the birth of a beautiful baby girl, Isabelle. On March 28, 2009 at 4:53 p.m., Isabelle S. Zeringue spread her wings and took flight home into eternal rest. Isabelle was preceded in death by her loving husband Joseph Andre Zeringue, her infant daughter Nelwyn Anne Zeringe and her siblings Phedelise S. Zeringue, Palmire S. Matela, Dora S. Zeringue and Francois E. Schexnaydre. The sweet memories of Isabelle will be cherished by her children: James A. Zeringue and his wife, Dale; Janice Z. Hymel; Isabelle Z. Benoit and her husband, Carlton; Paul M. Zeringue and his wife, Carolyn; Gayle Z. Bourgeois; Ronald C. Zeringe and his wife, Irma and Jenny Z. Oncale. She leaves behind her siblings: Clorine S. Zeringue, Helen S. Zeringue, Urban L. Schexnaydre and Thomas P. Schexnaydre. She also leaves behind 20 grandchildren, 35 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered as a loving and loyal wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend who cherished her family.

Visitation was held at the H.C. Alexander Funeral Home in Norco on Wednesday, April 1 and again on Thursday, April 2 until the service at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hahnville. Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10 a.m. at the church with burial in the St. Charles Masoleum with Fr. B. Francis officiating.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of H.C. Alexander Funeral Home in Norco.
