David William Hillburn died on Thursday, March 26, 2009 at 4:10 p.m. at his residence. Age 57, he was a native of Liberty, Texas and has lived in this area most of his fife. He was an oil field project engineer for M-I SWACO since 2001.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 29 years, Denise Hillburn; one son, Devin Lowell Hillburn and one daughter, Rebecca Taylor Hiilburn; two brothers: Danny Joe Hilbum and his wife, Bobbie of Franklinton and James Hillburn and his wife, Sandra of Gautier, Miss.; two sisters: Mollie Hillburn of Gautier and Patty Collins of Texas; two uncles and aunts: Doc and Davey Lee Odom and Charles and Mary Taylor, all of Texas. He is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Dorothy Taylor Hillburn.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.

A memorial service will be held at the Springhill Baptist Church in Franklinton at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 3, 2009.

Funeral arrangements under the direction of H.C. Alexander Funeral Home in Norco.
