Richard M. "Dick" Lowry passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2009, at his residence in Norco. A native of Lutcher, he was 95 years old. Dick was retired from Shell Chemical with 41 years of service as a manager in the Fire and Safety Department. He is survived by two sons, Donald P. Lowry and wife Janet and Eugene T. Lowry, three daughters, Elaine L. Jacob and husband Keith, Kathleen L. Johnson and husband Dale and Carolyn L. Vitrano and husband Darryl, one sister, Marie Orillion, 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his wife, Rose V. Lowry, parents Richard Lowry and Corinne Keller Lowry, three sisters Marguerite Erra, Corinne Abreo and Kathleen Lowry, five brothers, Edward Lowry, Valery Lowry, Francis Lowry, George Lowry and Jefferson Lowry.
Visitation and services were held on Friday, March 20, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Norco. Entombment followed in St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum in Destrehan. In lieu of flowers, masses preferred.
