Gayle Bleakley Vicknair, 72 years of age, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, March 19, 2009, at 5:32 a.m. with her loving husband and family by her bedside. A native of New Orleans and a resident of Lutcher, she is survived by her devoted husband of 49-and-a-half years, Joseph Vicknair, sons Ken Vicknair and Don and wife Stacy Vicknair, daughters Lisa Musso and husband Sal and Lori Chauvin and husband Michael, grandchildrenToby, Whitlee, Christian and Austin Vicknair and Lexi Musso and Addisyn Chauvin, step-grandchildren Cory Louque and wife Brittney, Brandon and Scott Chauvin, brother Edward J. Bleakley III and wife Betty and sister-in-law Mara Roussel and husband Lynn.

Theresa Pellissier Darr passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at Ormond Nursing and Care Center in Destrehan. She was 82, a native of New Orleans and resident of Destrehan. Survived by three sons, Roy Sr., George Jr. and Charles Darr, five daughters, Marie Frechou, Kathryn Maggard, Betty Credidio, Alberta Stoker and Irene Boneno, one sister, Violet Benson, 32 grandchildren and 63 great-grandchildren.

On March 21, 2009, at 12:21 p.m., Valfred Jude Amato, age 74, departed this life and went home to be with his Father in Heaven. A lifelong native of Lutcher, Valfred was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Amato, his mother, Enola Landry Amato, his step-mother, Isabelle Rodrigue Amato, his brother, P. J. Amato, and his sister Ada Mae Guidry.

EVERETT LOQUE

Everett Louque was born Nov. 2, 1927, in Gramercy and was called to his eternal rest on March 17, 2009, at the age of 81. He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, the former Barbara Tregre. His sons are Chris Louque and his wife, Valerie, and their children, Scott, Shane and Steve, and Eric Louque and his wife, Shawndel, and their children, Bailey and Ethan. He also leaves his daughter, Elizabeth Martin, and her husband, Daniel, and her son, Preston Welch. He was also blessed with three great-grandchildren, Mia Welch and Olivia and Brock Louque. His surviving siblings are Rita Leblanc, Jacquelyn Myrick, Barbara Scharwath, Lois Duhe, Kenneth Louque and Gary Louque.

He is also survived by his devoted companion, Amy Duhon, best friend Mitch Carmello and devoted friends forever, Trixie and Buster.

Richard M. "Dick" Lowry passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2009, at his residence in Norco. A native of Lutcher, he was 95 years old. Dick was retired from Shell Chemical with 41 years of service as a manager in the Fire and Safety Department. He is survived by two sons, Donald P. Lowry and wife Janet and Eugene T. Lowry, three daughters, Elaine L. Jacob and husband Keith, Kathleen L. Johnson and husband Dale and Carolyn L. Vitrano and husband Darryl, one sister, Marie Orillion, 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Annabel "Nannie" Marie Schexnayder Zeringue, a wife, stepmother and grandmother, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2009, at River Region Hospice in River Ridge. A native of Wallace and resident of Vacherie, she was 84 years old. "Nannie" spent her life as a devoted Catholic caring for others as a homemaker. She loved cooking, baking, and sewing and was a charter member of the Catholic Daughters of Americas #1504. She is survived by three stepsons and spouses, Van J. Zeringue (Pam), Rene P. Zeringue, Jr. (Gail) and Donald A. Zeringue (Pam), one stepdaughter and spouse, Cheryl A. Webster (Mike), one brother, Roland G. Schexnayder, eight grandchildren, Rene III, Jarred, Brooke, Mathew and Alex Zeringue, Noelie Z. Calabro, Andre Abadie and Erica McCallister, and three great-grandchildren, Andre Cooper, Addison Calabro and Mathew Zeringue.

Peter Kosztolanyi entered into eternal peace on March 29, 2009 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of 53 years to Leona Weber Kosztolanyi. Survived by his children Kevin Kosztolanyi and wife Janine, Karen Madere and husband L.J., Terri Lucia and husband Vincent. He is also survived by his grandchildren Kaci Masset and husband Kevin, Carly, Haley, Mason and wife Allison, Chloe, Hope, Brooke, Cody, Brennan, Kaci Louque and husband Kent, Jonathan, and 3 great-grandchildren Claire, Kadyn and Cole. Preceded in death by his parents Peter and Julia Kosztolanyi and his brother Lewis. Peter was a native of Robert, La. and a resident of Reserve, La. He was a retired employee of Kaiser Aluminum in Gramercy, La. and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family. Visitation was at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, 2806 W. Airline Hwy., LaPlace, La., on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 from 9:30 am to 11:15 am. Followed by Religious Services at St. Peter Catholic Church, Reserve, La. at 11:30 am. Burial in St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve, La.

Isabelle S. Zeringue

On May 16, 1916, God blessed Clorinne and Francois Schexnaydre in a very special way with the birth of a beautiful baby girl, Isabelle. On March 28, 2009 at 4:53 p.m., Isabelle S. Zeringue spread her wings and took flight home into eternal rest. Isabelle was preceded in death by her loving husband Joseph Andre Zeringue, her infant daughter Nelwyn Anne Zeringe and her siblings Phedelise S. Zeringue, Palmire S. Matela, Dora S. Zeringue and Francois E. Schexnaydre. The sweet memories of Isabelle will be cherished by her children: James A. Zeringue and his wife, Dale; Janice Z. Hymel; Isabelle Z. Benoit and her husband, Carlton; Paul M. Zeringue and his wife, Carolyn; Gayle Z. Bourgeois; Ronald C. Zeringe and his wife, Irma and Jenny Z. Oncale. She leaves behind her siblings: Clorine S. Zeringue, Helen S. Zeringue, Urban L. Schexnaydre and Thomas P. Schexnaydre. She also leaves behind 20 grandchildren, 35 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered as a loving and loyal wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend who cherished her family.
