RESERVE – Nearly 20 business and industry leaders in St. John the Baptist Parish told school officials recently that the career and technical curriculum at the public high school should be expanded to include training in “soft skills.”

Work closes section of River Road

BATON ROUGE – Governor Bobby Jindal announced the appointment of Randal Gaines of LaPlace to the Board of Supervisors of Southern University and Agricultural and Mechanical College.

Business community comes out for Chamber gala
LAPLACE – Business people throughout the River Parishes came out in support of the Fifth Anniversary Gala of the River Region Chamber of Commerce at the Hilton New Orleans Airport hotel. Over 200 business people attended the event.
