Trunk or Treat Neighborhood Party

The Lutheran Church of the Galilean at 3404 Highway 51, LaPlace will be holding a "TRUNK OR TREAT NEIGHBORHOOD PARTY" on Saturday evening, October 25 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.. The event is being planned as a safe stay-at-home event for the community. With the event the church hopes to allow residents the opportunity to get to know each other in a safe Halloween atmosphere.

Residents are encouraged to participate by entering their decorated vehicles and dress-up in costumes. Each participant is asked to provide their own candy and handouts. There will a contest for the best decorated vehicle - $50 for first place, $25 for second place, and $15 for third place. In addition, two prizes will be awarded for the best adult costume ($20) and the best child costume ($20).

There will be several games for the children with prizes.

Refreshments will be provided for everyone at no charge.

Anyone interested in entering the vehicle should call 985-652-8615 to make arrangements. All vehicles should be at the church between 5 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Norco Fall Festival

Norco will be holding their fall festival October 31 from 12:00 – 2:30 p.m. There will be food, games, prizes and entertainment.

Desty Darling’s Trunk or Treat

The Desty Darling’s will be holding a special fundraiser to raise money to compete at Disney World. Trunk or Treat is looking to give a 1st place award to the best decorated trunk. Located in the parking lot of Destrehan High School on October 31 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. You can come dressed in your Halloween costume. Cost is $3 per child for ages 13 and under.
