LAPLACE – Authorities in St. John are looking for three suspects in an armed robbery at a LaPlace apartment.
The victim in the attack, a 23-year-old LaPlace man whose name was not released, suffered a fractured eye socket when a struggle took place, said Sheriff’s Office spokesman Maj. Mike Tregre. The victim was taken to River Parishes Hospital, where he was treated and released, Tregre said

The victim made it out the front door, but was confronted by the two other accomplices in the robbery. The victim described one of the suspects as a black male with dreadlocks and wearing a white t-shirt. The victim could not describe the third suspect.
The report goes on to say that the victim was able to escape the suspects and flag down a passing motorist, who brought him to the hospital for treatment.
Tregre would not elaborate on what was taken from the apartment and said the investigation is still ongoing.
