HAHNVILLE – Authorities in St. Charles are investigating an alleged rape of a 37-year-old St. Rose woman late Sunday night, said a spokesman for the Sheriff’s Office.
Sgt. Dwayne LaGrange, public information officer for the St. Charles Sheriff’s Office, said the woman, whose name was not released, contacted deputies after she was dropped off in a remote location somewhere in Des Allemands.

According to a report on the incident, the victim told deputies that she was picked up by an unknown black male driving an unidentified vehicle in St. Rose around 10 p.m. Sunday. She said the suspect proceeded to physically and sexually assault her before driving her out to Des Allemands and dropping her from the vehicle. When deputies arrived, the victim was transported to St. Charles Hospital where she was treated for her injuries.
