Roland “Roach” Joseph Adams Sr. died Saturday, September 13, 2008. The Wallace native is son of the late Abraham and Rosalee Simon Adams. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mildred Adams, children Roland Jr., Paula Dennis, Adrian Adams, Patricia Moore, Brian Adams, Clyde and Wayne, sisters Octavia Davenport, Ruby Williams, Rose Chopin and Juanita Hawthorne, 15 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Marchand Warren, brother Bernard Adams and grandson Colby Adams.

Joseph “Jumel” Borne Sr., 86, died Tuesday, September 16, 2008. The life-long Edgard resident was husband of the late Bernice Pierre Borne, son of the late Lawrence and Lovenia Borne, brother of Curtis Borne, Annie Mae Hinton, the late Lawrence Borne Sr., Sentelia Piere and Lula Belle Keller, father of Eleene Scott, Sandra Davis, Joseph Jumel Borne Jr., Rachel Borne, Talbert Borne, Loretta Borne, Laverne Gambrell, Bradley Borne, David Borne, Cheryl Borne, Vanessa Rayford, Jacqueline Washington, Berlyn Scott, Gregory Borne, Randall Borne and the late Paul Borne. Jumel is also survived by an aunt, a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends.Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, September 20, at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2361 Hwy. 18, Edgard, La. Visitation prior to service beginning at 9 a.m. Recitation of the Rosary at 10 a.m. Interment in church mausoleum. Services entrusted to Baloney Funeral Home, LLC.

Janice Ann Champion, 73, of Luling, La., died Wednesday, September 10, in Midland.
Visitation and services were held at the First Baptist Church in Luling on Friday, September 19. Interment followed at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in St. Rose.
Survivors include husband, Ross Champion of Luling; daughters, Marcia Newton of Houma, La., Amy Ivanhoe of Midland, Theresa Discavage of Lancaster, Pa., Lisa Wright of LaPlace, La.; and brother, Jerry Lewis of Jackson, Miss.
Crawford
Sanders E. Crawford Jr., 69, died Tuesday, September 16, 2008. The Modeste, La., native and Avondale resident was beloved husband of Hattie W. Crawford, son of the late Sanders E. Crawford Sr. and Edmonin Brunswick Crawford, father of Angela Thmas, Amanda Jenkins, Virginia Patterson and Sanders Crawford III, grandfather of Louis III, Crystal, William, Kayla, Sanders IV and Tyler.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services on Saturday, September 20, 2008, at 1 p.m. at the Highway Baptist Church in Vacherie. Rev. Wesley Brown officiating. Interment in church cemetery. Visitation at the church after 9:30 a.m. The Baloney Funeral Home LLC in charge of arrangements.
Williams
Cabrina “Brina” Willliams, age 42, departed this life on Tuesday, September 9, 2008, in LaPlace. Daughter of Alexander and Veronica Mason, wife of Ralph Williams, mother of Raphael and DreVaughn Williams. Also survived by sisters Michelle M. Bell and Chantel M. Nicholas, brother Ricardo Mason of Reserve, great-aunt Rose Mary Henry and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, other relative and friends. A native of Reserve and resident of LaPlace.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Peter Mason SSr. And Mary Mason of Reserve and Adelene Henry Guichard of New Orleans and Johnny Jackson of Natchez, Miss.
Visitation and services were held on Friday, September 19, at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Reserve. Interment in Bethlehem Cemetery in Reserve.
