Hymel

Leota Daigle Hymel on Sunday, August 3, 2008, at 11:20 a.m. Beloved wife of the late Ferducie Hymel. daughter of the late Leonard and Valerie Daigle, sister of Wilson Daigle and Valerie Freeman. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Age 102 years. A native of Belle Rose, La., and a resident of Reserve.

Visitation and services were held at St. Peter Catholic Church in Reserve on Tuesday, August 5. Burial in St. Peter Cemetery in Reserve.

Keller

Linda Keller, 48, died August 3, 2008. The Vacherie native and resident was daughter of the late Rosa Keller and Eugene Keller Sr., mother of Kawanna, Dion and Jamica Keller and Michael Perrault Jr., sister of Victoria Joseph, Sandra Keller and the late Eugene Jr. and Michael Keller Sr. and grandmother of Kaylon, Dalaisha, D’Asia and De’Andre Keller. Also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family, also pastor, officers and members of the St. Luke Baptist Church, First Baptist Church and neighboring churches, employees of Northrop Grumman (Avondale), the St. James Sheriff’s Department, Turner Industries Group and Audubon Guest House are invited to attend the funeral services on Saturday, August 9, at 11 a.m. at the St. Luke Baptist Church in St. James. Rev Joseph Thomas officiating. Interment in the church cemetery. Visitation at the church after 9 a.m. The Baloney Funeral Home LLC., 399 Earl Baloney Dr., Garyville, La., in charge of arrangements.

Kliebert

Helen Kliebert died on Saturday, August 2, 2008, at 4:32 p.m. at St. James Parish Hospital, Lutcher. Age 74, she was a native and resident of Convent, La. She was retired as Postmaster of Convent after 35 years of service. Survived by husband, Otis J. Kliebert of Convent; daughter, Rosalind Kliebert Trosclair of Reserve; brother, Gerald Melancon and his wife, Eunice, of Garyville; sisters, Francine Slimmer of Convent; Mary Ann Cummins and her husband, Harry, of Convent; Ethel Roussel Thomas and her husband, Prentice, of Zachary; grandchildren: Rene J. Trosclair III; Joseph L. Trosclair, Luke A. Trosclair and his wife, Kristen Clement Trosclair; and Anthony R. Trosclair. Preceded in death by mother, Lucy Louque Melancon Kliebert; father, Felix Melancon; step-father, Stanley Kliebert; son-in-law, Rene J. Trosclair Jr. of Reserve; grandparents, Alcide Louque, Alice Miller Louque, Edgar Melancon, Desiree Martin Melancon; brother, Edgar Melancon; brother-in-law, Herbert Roussel Sr.; sister-in-law, Priscille Melancon. She was married for 53 years, a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Visitation and services were held Tuesday, August 5, at the St. Michaels Catholic Church in Convent. Interment: St. Michaels Cemetery in Convent.

Weber

Allen P. Weber Sr. on Sunday, August 3, 2008, at 9:46 p.m. Beloved father of Stephanie Morvant and husband Calvin, Jacqueline Bazile and husband Charles, Allen Weber Jr. and wife Kim and Tia Stasko and husband Ron. Son of the late Roy and Eola Boe Weber. Former husband of Carmen C. Weber. Grandfather of Ryan, Christopher and Meghan Morvant, Matthew, Samantha, Brandi and Chase Bazile, Nicholas, Austin and Zachary Weber, Hunter Jacob and the late Joseph Allen Weber. Brother of Sharry Millet and husband H. David. Age 72 years. A native of Reserve and resident of LaPlace.

Services were held at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in LaPlace on Thursday, August 7. Burial in St. Peter Cemetery in Reserve.

Williams

Rev. Medrick Williams Sr., 83, died July 31, 2008. The Napoleonville native and Reserve resident was son of the late Lasker and Beatrice Williams, husband of the late Rosalie Willliams, father of Deloyd Williams, Verna Warren, Lionel Williams, Aline Zeno, Marva Joseph, Yvonne Smith, Medrick Williams Jr., Norma Dorris, Marilyn Warren, Joyce Bush, Marlene Watkins, Sheryl Pierre, Rose Francois, Gerald Williams and the late Bernadine Batiste and brother of the late Juanita Rodgers and Rev. Haskel Williams. He is also survived by 29 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation and services were held Friday, August 8, at Greater Morning Star Baptist Church in LaPlace. Interment at St. John Memorial Garden Cemetery in LaPlace.

Williams

Roselee “Rosie” Williams, 53, died August 1, 2008. The Convent native and Reserve resident was the wife of Raymond Williams Sr., mother of Derrick Sr., Raymond Jr. and Lawrence and sister of Ruby Laphand, Dolores Collins, Nolan Legeaux, Bernadette Williams, Robert Johnson Jr., Janet Sam, Roderick Johnson, Kathleen Parnell and John Paul Johnson.

Visitation and services were held on Friday, August 8, at New Wine Christian Fellowship in LaPlace. Interment in Zion Travelers Cemetery in Reserve.
