Chaisson is a former Louisiana judge and the current executive director of the Port of South Louisiana. Chaisson is the nominee of the Ports Association of Louisiana, as required by statute.
The Board of Louisiana River Pilot Review and Oversight serves to provide oversight of four Louisiana Pilots Associations including: the Associated Branch Pilots for the Port of New Orleans, the River Port Pilots for the Port of New Orleans, the New Orleans Baton Rouge Steamship Pilots Association, and the Associated Branch Pilots of the Port of Lake Charles, by reviewing and monitoring all actions of the four boards of examiners.

Jack Anderson, of Mandeville, is a crescent pilot and has been a pilot since 1980. Anderson was nominated by the Board of River Port Pilots Commission for the Port of New Orleans, as required by statute.
Kelvin Boston, of New Orleans, is a member of the Baton Rouge-New Orleans Steamship Pilots and was nominated by the Board Examiners for New Orleans and Baton Rouge Steamship Pilots for the Mississippi River, as required by statute.
Bruce Bradley, of Baton Rouge, is the director of the Trade, Tourism, and Transportation Council of the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry. Bradley will represent Louisiana business associations, as required by statute.
Joel T. Chaisson, of LaPlace, is a former Louisiana judge and the current executive director of the Port of South Louisiana. Chaisson is the nominee of the Ports Association of Louisiana, as required by statute.
Judge Charles Cusimano, of Metairie, is the Justice of the Peace in Jefferson Parish and is a former Louisiana State Representative from the 81st Representative District. Cusimano is a former Louisiana judge, as required by statute.
Judge Richard Ganucheau, of Metairie, is a retired Civil District Court judge in Orleans Parish. Ganucheau is the current chairman of the board and is a former Louisiana judge, as required by statute.
Judge Richard Garvey, of River Ridge, served as a judge for the Orleans Parish Civil District Court from 1966 to 1996 and served as judge pro tempore of the 5th Circuit Court of Appeal and the Louisiana Supreme Court. Garvey is a former president of the 4th and 5th Circuit Judges Association and the Louisiana District Judges Association. He is a former Louisiana judge, as required by statute.
R. Michael Lyons, of Baton Rouge, is the environmental affairs manager for the Louisiana Mid-Continent Oil and Gas Association and will represent Louisiana business associations, as required by statute.
Adam McBride, of Lake Charles, is the current executive director of the Lake Charles Harbor and Terminal District and was nominated by the Ports Association of Louisiana, as required by statute.
Brett Palmer, of Lake Charles, has been a licensed pilot since 1992 and has over thirty years of experience with vessels. Palmer is a member of the Lake Charles Pilots and was nominated by the Board of River Port Pilot Commission and Examiners, as required by statute.
Charles Steinmuller, of Baton Rouge, has been a Bar Pilot since 1985 and is a member of the American Pilots Association. Steinmuller was nominated by the Board of Examiners of Bar Pilots for the Port of New Orleans, as required by statute.
