LAPLACE — Motorists traveling eastbound on Airline Highway on Wednesday should be on the lookout for lane closures in the LaPlace area east of US Hwy. 51.

Officials from the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announced that the eastbound left lane of Airline Highway will be closed between US Hwy. 51 and the St. Charles Parish line from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., while crews grind out pavement bumps along the shoulder. DOTD said drivers can expect about 10 minutes of delays through that area.
