Bond issues at a glance

The $25 million that the parish will receive from the 2008 bond issue will be broken down into six specific categories:

$4 million for hurricane levees

- Local match for phase I of the lakefront levee in St. John

$5 million for parish buildings

Improvements to the Edgard courthouse

Proposed government complex expansion on the east bank

$5 million for water treatment

Expansion of the Lyons Water Treatment Plant

Construction of a water tower

$3 million for roads

Woodland Drive extension

Miscellaneous road projects throughout the parish

$2.5 million for recreational facilities

- Construction of a parish gym with recreation department offices

$5 million for drainage

Flooding concerns in Old Riverlands and Reserve
