Girls’ fastpitch softball tournament at Reserve Rec. Park July 26 & 27

There will be a girls’ fastpitch softball tournament at Reserve Recreation Park on July 26 & 27, hosted by the Riverside Academy Extra Inning baseball club. Entry fee is $150, pay at the plate for umpire. Each team will play three games minimum. Age groups include 8 & under (coaches pitch), 10 & under, 12 & under and 14 & under (all fast pitch). Ben Wilson basketball clinic begins July 21

Riverside basketball coach Ben Wilson is hosting a basketball clinic from July 21-24 at the riverside gymnasium. It will be held each day from 9 a.m. to noon. The cost is $60. The camp will include games guest speakers, T-shirt, awards, and competition. All checks should be payable to Ben Wilson. For more info, call (859) 539-7374 (cell) or (985) 536-4246, ext 242.

Great Spillway Classic to happen July 20

The 21st annual Great Spillway Classic Trail Run is going to happen Sunday, July 20. It is a 3-mile trail run, at the Bonnet Carre Spillway in Norco. It is the second largest trail run in the nation. At 8 a.m., the race will begin. At 7 a.m., race day registration and packet pickup opens. Entry fee before July 14 is $22. All afterwards will be $25. Entrants will receive an event T-shirt. HEAT holding football

registration July 13-18

HEAT Youth Organization will hold football registration on July 13-18 at Cambridge Community Park 5:30 to 7 p.m. $60 per player. Practice begins on July 14. For more info, please visit www.heatyouthorg.com.
