HAHNVILLE – St. Charles Sheriff’s deputies are searching for a suspect in a recent armed robbery of two females at a Destrehan car wash, said a spokesman for the department.
Capt. Pat Yoes, public information officer for the St. Charles Sheriff’s Office, said the suspect is described as a tall black male, anywhere from 6 feet to 6 feet, 4 inches, with a thin build. The suspect was also wearing a bandana to cover his face at the time of the robberies, which took place March 22, at Krystal Klear Carwash, 152 Longview Dr., Destrehan.

A few minutes later, the suspect approached a 55-year-old woman, who was vacuuming her vehicle nearby. The suspect again produced his gun and demanded money. The report said the second victim complied, and handed over her purse. The suspect then fled the scene in an unknown direction.
Yoes said the victims, whose names were not released, were not injured during the attack.
The incident is still under investigation, and anyone with any information should contact the St. Charles Sheriff’s Office at 985-783-1135, or call Crimestoppers at 1-877-903-STOP. There is a reward for any information that could lead to an arrest in the case.
