 The Louisiana Drug Card Program is giving free prescription discount cards to every Louisiana resident.  There are no restrictions on age or income, and no paperwork to fill out. Since the program’s inception, 34,685 people have enrolled and saved over 1.5 million dollars. Saving on prescription drugs is as easy as logging onto www.louisianadrugcard.com and typing your name and your e-mail address to download a personalized card. The discount cards are generated instantly after registration and can be printed out and used immediately.

Nursing classes
The Practical Nursing Department at the Louisiana Technical College, River Parishes Campus, is currently accepting applications for its August 2008 nursing class.  Application deadline is June 1, 2008.  Enrollment is limited.  

Traffic advisory
DESTREHAN – On April 5, the entrance from River Road at Destrehan onto I-310 will be closed after 8 a.m. until all runners and walkers participating in the United Way of St. Charles 2008 5K Bridge run have cleared the entrance. The exit from I-310 to Destrehan will also be closed after 8 a.m. These closures are scheduled to last approximately 45 minutes.
