Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Mike Tregre said a man carrying a gun entered American Cash Advance, located at 901 W. Airline Hwy, around 5 p.m. on Friday, January 18, and demanded money. Tregre said the man was dressed in a black jacket with writing on the front, black jeans with rolled cuffs, white tennis shoes, and a multicolored hat.
The Sheriff’s Office report said the gunman took an undisclosed amount of cash from a store employee, and ordered the employee to walk into the bathroom. The robber then escaped the store from the back door, and fled the scene in an unknown direction.
