St. John homeschool group offering workshop for those wanting information

LAPLACE -- The area home school group, Christian Home Educator's Fellowship, is offering a free introductory workshop on home schooling. 

It will be held this year at two separate locations.  The first of which will be the St. John Parish Library in LaPlace on Wednesday, July 25 from 6pm-9pm.  The second will be the St. James Parish Library in Lutcher on Thursday, July 26 from 6pm-9pm.

Sessions will begin with the short video “You Can Homeschool.”

Topics to be discussed are:

- Louisiana laws and home-schooling

- Learning Styles

- Educational Resources

- Organization/Scheduling

- Curriculum choices

- Activities in our local group

- Socialization

Home-schoolers new and old, as well as those who would just like to learn more about home schooling, are welcome.
